On the Farm and at the Olive press

The Cooking Experience – Cheese Master Class on the farm takes place on a great dairy farm in the Hyblian highlands deep in the South East of Sicily.

With Alessia, Ornella and Salvo we can live the experience of milking the cows, feeding the calves and then… we make Ricotta or other cheeses with the fresh milk.

We start with a visit of the farm where milking and meat cows together with goats and pigs are kept.

Cheese Master Class participants learn the milking process and help make cheeses.

The day continues with a rich and delicious tasting of cheeses, Fresh hot Ricotta , sausages and salamis all produced on the farm together with sciaccate ( closed Sicilian pizza), cassatelle, breads, fresh pasta, meat and great local wine all produced by Ornella and Salvo themselves.

Between October and November the day can continue with a visit to an olive press where, in the autumn some of the finest Virgin Olive oil in the world is produced. You can watch the whole process. Obviously the visit would not be complete without a tasting of fresh olive oil and bread.

Minimum 6 people up to a maximum of 30. Cost for circa 3 hours is 95 euros per person + VAT all inclusive.
